What you will do


As a Product Owner at bookU, you will play a crucial role in the gathering, analysis and communication of feature requirements for our product development.


  • Work with stakeholders, including product managers and designers, to understand and document requirements for product features and improvements.
  • Convert user needs into detailed requirements and functional specifications.
  • Translate user requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the product strategy by contributing to discussions on the product vision and potential improvements.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of product features and requirements.
  • Help to assess and prioritize product improvements based on customer feedback and business value.
  • Coordinate with development teams to clarify requirements and support the development process.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to suggest potential functional enhancements to the product team.


What we are looking for


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Owner who can support our product development efforts, focusing on functional requirements and clear communication. Our ideal candidate would have a strong passion for understanding and documenting user needs and facilitating the translation into actionable product features.


  • Fundamental understanding of product development processes and the ability to document clear requirements.
  • Good communication skills: Capable of articulating functional specifications and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset: Able to evaluate user needs and prioritize them into a structured list of functional requirements.
  • Experience in requirement gathering and documentation: Proficient in creating detailed functional specifications and use cases.
  • Technical familiarity: While not mandatory, an understanding of the technical landscape can help communicate more effectively with the development team.
  • Previous experience in a Functional Analyst / Product Owner or related role is beneficial, demonstrating your capability in supporting product development processes.
